DIY Aluminium Picket Pedestrian Gate with Lock designed for residential access where a clean appearance and a fixed lock setup are preferred. This version is supplied with a FENLUX mortice lock and comes with pre-drilled lock holes for that lock system, creating a more integrated and consistent finished gate.

Compared with no-lock versions, this gate is suited to customers who want a complete gate and lock combination without needing to choose a separate latch or decide lock position onsite.

Left Hand vs Right Hand Gate

This product is available in left hand and right hand configurations.

The hand is defined when viewing the gate from the front:

• If the handle is on the left side, it is a left hand gate
• If the handle is on the right side, it is a right hand gate

Please confirm the correct hand before purchase, as the lock position is pre-drilled for the selected configuration and is not intended to be changed onsite.

Mortice Lock System

This gate is supplied with a FENLUX powder-coated mortice lock, giving the finished gate a more integrated appearance than many external latch systems.

A dedicated lock-side stopper is also included. This helps keep the gate face aligned with the post when closed, supports the lock tongue position, and improves the overall finished appearance.

Because the lock location is fixed, this gate is not suitable for double swing gate configurations.

Hinge Position & Opening Direction

The gate opening direction depends on where the hinges are installed:

• If hinges are installed on the back side of the gate, the gate pushes away from you when opening
• If hinges are installed on the front side of the gate, the gate pulls towards you when opening

FENLUX recommends DD Technologies self-closing hinges where a self-closing setup is required.

Installation Gap Requirements

Correct post spacing is important for proper operation and hardware clearance:

• Lock side gap: 10mm
• Hinge side gap for DD Technologies self-closing hinges: 20mm

For example, a 1040mm wide gate generally requires an opening of approximately 1070mm between the inside faces of the posts.

Gate posts and hinges are not included in the kit.

DIY Assembly & Installation

This product is supplied as a DIY gate kit and requires assembly. FENLUX provides assembly guidance, including video support, to assist customers with the gate assembly process.

Installation is not included and remains the customer’s responsibility. FENLUX may share practical installation experience where helpful, but final installation depends on site conditions and installer judgement.
