Standard Gate vs Sloping Driveway

This is a standard rectangular sliding gate, designed for driveway openings that are level from left to right.

If your driveway slopes from front to back, this does not normally affect the gate.

However, if your driveway slopes from left to right (across the gate opening), a standard rectangular gate may appear visually out of level once installed.

For sloping driveway conditions, a raked bottom sliding gate is typically required. These are custom-made by FENLUX to suit site conditions and are supplied as finished panels rather than DIY kits.

Assembly vs Installation – What to Expect

This product is designed as a DIY assembly gate kit. The gate panel can be assembled by most customers, and FENLUX provides assembly guidance, including video support, to assist throughout the process.

Important: assembly and installation are different stages. While assembly is generally achievable, installation of a sliding gate system may require site preparation, alignment, and installation experience depending on your project.

Onsite Adjustment & Cutting Guidance

This is a standard-size gate kit, with width and slat quantity pre-calculated based on the selected size. The gate can be shortened onsite, but it cannot be extended.

When reducing the gate width, it is recommended to cut within slat gap sections where possible. Cutting through pre-drilled fixing areas may expose rivet holes on the gate beam.

FENLUX can assist by advising suitable cutting positions based on your required size. This forms part of our assembly guidance support.
